No insurance for RE. Cost question at rsny
They told me about a 1 time payment that I could pay, and then I can go to them without fertility coverage. Has anyone done this? I forget what they called it. I'm wondering what it actually covers? Also, are there any extra hidden costs afterwards?

It was a plan that included a bunch of stuff not just one procedure. Like cycle monitoring etc. I know I'm being really vague, but I'm unsure about the details bc I was hoping I didn't need it. I was hoping someone on here had used it, but I guess I'll have to call and ask.

Re: No insurance for RE. Cost question at rsny
I paid OOP at RSONY for a medicated IUI cycle. I believe it was a few hundred to maybe $1K. (It's been a while so I'm not sure of the exact amount).
Anyway, it covered the whole cycle (except meds) including any visits, monitoring, sonos, blood work etc.

Yes, I think that's what is was. I was thinking i remembered around 1k. Was that for one cycle only? or if you didn't get preggo, would they have done it again without charging you another 1k?

It's for one cycle start to finish. If the IUI fails and you don't get pregnant you have to pay for another cycle if you want to try again.

No insurance for RE. Cost question at rsny
RSofNY has a global rate which includes all bloodwork/sonograms/office visits/sperm wash and IUI (2 IUI if count is under 5 million).
Your global rate is determined at your CD 3 appt by your doctor. The lowest global rate (which is what I have always paid) is $995. It DOES NOT include the cost of medication. You will also be expected to pay for the HCG Trigger shot and progesterone (if you are prescribed for it). In total, the cost is around $1100- $1200 a cycle. If it does not work, then you pay again the following cycle.
hope that helps
eta: clomid can cost anywhere between $10-$50 dollars depending on your doasge, and injectables such a follistim or gonal f is about 1k-2k.
