Trip to Disneyland CA

Hi,
So we're planning a trip to Disneyland in a few weeks. I found a few older posts very helpful but wanted to ask for anyone who has recently gone.
We plan on also going to San Diego, we would like to make this a 7 day trip.
How many days do we need at Disneyland? Are 2 enough?
Also, I see that there's a Cars theme park, and a second park called California Adventure (I could totally be wrong on the names of these!!) are these places close to Disney?

We would also like to spend a few days in San Diego.
So we will be going to the zoo for sure. I also want to check out Legoland.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations on where to go in the area! DS is 2.
Any great places to eat are also welcome. Thanks!

Trip to Disneyland CA

Disney Land California and Disney's California Adventure are right next to each other. You can walk from one park to the other. You need a park hopper ticket to do that though. Carsland is IN California Adventure.

We are going todisneyland this summer... We will be there Monday midday until Wednesday around 3. I think we will have plenty of time..

In Disney adventure park there is a light show at night. You will get better seats if you do the dinner and light show package... You can book up to 60 days in advance.

We are staying at the Marriott residence inn. We got a great rate and it is a 10 minute walk Disneyland and it comes with free breakfast.

We are also going to knots berry farms and Santa Barbara for a wedding. We will be in California for a week. We are taking red eye back so we have another full day to do things.

The flights are expensive but we booked in March and got $170 each way on jet blue. The same flight ow are double the price!
