Where to store unused car seats.
What's better, attic or garage. Or it doesn't matter will the hot/cold temps ruin them?

Where to store unused car seats.
I don't think temps will ruin them--people who live in other climates often have very hot or very cold cars.
I put ours in garage bc access is easier.

Where to store unused car seats.
Ours are in our basement. Our garage during the summer is very hot and very cold in the winter. Same goes for the attic. Basement isn't too far off from the temp in the house.
I don't really think it matters though.

Put them in a bag and put them somewhere it ISN'T damp. Once they get moldy, they can't be cleaned..

Ours is in the corner of our bedroom. The bases are in the office under a table. I felt better having them on the main level.

Where to store unused car seats.
I think part of the reason seats expire after 5 years is that the temps in the car do ruin them over time.
Not sure it matters because the temperatures in the car are very extreme too. I would probably go with the garage.

Yes, exactly, the temperature, especially the heat, warps the plastic over time. I would pick a cooler location to a warmer one. Garage is probably better than attic.
