Is there a way to TTC Twins?

I heard if you eat lots of dairy, that increases your chance of twins.
I hope I am going to have twins, that would be awesome

Re: Is there a way to TTC Twins?
I read taking extra folic acid (not sure how much) increases the chance. The one month I tried this out - it worked! I also do know that your body expels any extra that it doesn't need so I'm not sure how true it is. But like you I really wanted twins and figured why not, try it?!
Good luck I hope you join us on the Multiples Board!

I heard (and posted) about the dairy thing. Your chances also increase with age - the older you are, the stronger your chances. I also think family history has a lot to do with it as well.

Looks like I got my work cut out for me:
"Meanwhile, the best way of increasing your chances of having DZ twins if you are female is to have a mother, a sister, or an aunt (on either your mother's or father's side) who has had DZ twins."
(I have a sister who had been pregnant with DZ twins [sadly had a m/c] AND an aunt who has DZ twins). Both are on my mothers side. My maternal grandfather was a twin as well.
"Another major factor is maternal age; a woman who gives birth at 37 is four times more likely to have DZ twins than at age 18."
(I'll be 36 next week - my odds of delivering at 37 look pretty good IF we conceive within the next year)
