Make ahead sides
I need some ideas for sides for a BBQ that don't contain mayonnaise. I'm already making a Italian pasta salad and a regular salad.

Re: Make ahead sides
someone posted a roasted garbanzo (chickpea) salad recipe on here and it was sooo good. DH said the leftover were good the next day, so it is def. something that could be made in advance.
you could also do a string beans and roasted baby potato salad in dill/lemon/evoo dressing.
you can do "sour" coleslaw (made with vinegar instead of mayo).
you can do a 3 bean salad or some steamed veggies.

The broccoli slaw recipe with ramen noodles and an oil/vinegar dressing
Baked beans
Potato salad with a vinaigrette style dressing (often called French-style potato salad)
Cornbread... or I've made Paula Deen's Corn Casserole (can be cut into squares like cornbread, but it's more moist) to serve alongside bbq chicken, grilled meats, etc.

Re: Make ahead sides
I love this farmer's potato salad with a balsamic based dressing - no mayo, lots of yummy veggies, and it tastes better the next day!

I make this allllllll the time and chop tomatoes and stir them in right before I serve it. Sometimes, I eat the leftovers with sour cream and chips
