annoying eye twitching!
Has anyone had this before? I have this pulsating right below my left eye, like where the bag under your eye is, for like, 2 weeks now! It's not painful but it does make me self conscious since anyone that is looking at me will probably think its weird that below my eye is throbbing. I looked up on google on what it might be and it said possibly tiredness, or too much caffeine, but tiredness is nothing i can fix since I have an almost 2 yo at home, although I do drink about a 16 oz cup of coffee each morning. Should I be seeing someone about this? If so, should it be an Opthamologist (sp.?) or Optometrist?

annoying eye twitching!
I was told by my ophthalmologist that eye twitching could be from lack so sleep, stress, or too much caffeine intake. An ophthalmologist is probably best to see for this. I had this before. It does not hurt, It happens very fast for me. Yet, it was throughout the day for a week for short periods of time. I think it was stress for me. I went to acupuncture and felt so much better.my eye did not twitch for months after that. Usually there is no need to see eye dr. Unless there is pain with it. For peace of mind, you maybe could get an eye exam. Good luck .

I was getting this alot when my eyes were really tired. I mean alot. For months on and off. Haven't had it too much recently. Did see the eye dr and all was ok. No explanation.

For me, I get it when I'm really tired and don't get enough sleep for a while. Once I catch up on sleep (not really catch up, but get a little more sleep) it goes away

Re: annoying eye twitching!
thanks all. Mine has been constant, which is strange. I made an appointment to see an opthamologist tomorrow. If he doesn't know what is going on, I may have to see a neurologist.

I get this often too. For me, its caused by stress and lack of sleep. Its a magnesium deficiency. i started taking 500mg of Magnesium w my multi-vitamin and it went away.

Definitely stress. Acupuncture should help.

Re: annoying eye twitching!
Thanks all. I went to the Opthalmologist and it was pretty much a waste of time, he said to relax.. lol. But he did say if it didnt go away in a month or so, to see a neuro-opthalmologist. I did notice after eating a banana though it wasn't as bad... hm.
