Refinishing hardwood floors- price?
We got an estimate today for 1300 to refinish and stain 2 rooms (approx 10 x 10 each).
Is this inline or outrageous? I have no clue!!!!

We have someone refinishing our wood floors this week. 2 bedrooms (about 400 sq ft total)
We're paying 1350. That includes carpet removal.

seems high to me. We had ours done in april. I had 4 estimates for 500 square feet total, lving room, dining room and hallway (including 3 closets), Paid $1000.
Our estimates were 1200, 1020, 1000, 750.

We have someone refinishing our wood floors this last week. Living Room,Dining Room and 3 bedrooms and finish in 2 days.
We paid $1700. That includes carpet removal.

We had the wood floors in our entire house redone in 2009 before we moved in. LR, DR, stairs (12), 3 bedrooms and hallway. It was $1600. We got 3 estimates and the highest was $2200. The other 2 were $1600.

Wow. My cost to do 3 bedrooms, hallway, stairs, railing,living room and dining room 5000
I'm getting more estimates.

I did my first floor (well kitchen is tile) so figure about 700 sq ft plus staircase, which is labor intense bc of spindles and all, upstairs they only added the shine bc the floors were new so sanding wasnt needed we paid $1800/

yes we are probably very close to you from yoru posts...
We used Kings Park Flooring, Brian is the owner (631) 269-3801. He did my neighbors a few weeks before we did ours. He was great to work with. even offered to have his guys come help us move furniture back in so we didnt risk scratching our floors. I would totally recommend!
He was about $2 a square foot

Refinishing hardwood floors- price?
Seems high. We are in SI but for 3 BRs, hall, LR/DR combo, entry way, and 3 sets of stairs I paid 1550 for 3 coats and 1 BR had to be dyed back to the color of the rest of the floors. They look beautiful.
