Architect Referral
Can anyone recommend an architect to come in and draw us up some plans for potential extension/dormer?
And a price range if you have!
Thanks!

Re: Architect Referral
I used Fiore Architecture for our dormer. So happy with the design.I highly recommend! here are my before and after. Mine is the house with the fire hydrant in front and the balcony off the back. https://m.facebook.com/FioreArchitecture/mediaset?album=pb.367109693416710.-2207520000.1398554411. We have been using Chris Dowdell, 516-946-5842. He has been wonderful and I would definitely recommend him.
Most architects will be around $2000 - $3500 depending on what you are having drawn up and permit process, etc.

Yeah I think we were slightly less than $2k but DH had known him through jobs. I would've gladly paid more for the job to be done right.

Hey ladies-I'd love to hear more about your experiences and price. I have reached out to a few w only one response so far. I would like to do 2 relatively small jobs- take down some loadbearing walls on top floor and first floor-quote I got was $1750-thought that was high?

Re: Architect Referral
We're in the beginning stages of an addition and the retainer fee was 3k. We completed our first set of drawings in June, but are probably going to make some changes requiring another round of drawings. Our initial estimate was 16k I believe, but being we're back to the drawing board I would imagine that's going to add another 1k or 2.
I'll have to find the estimate which outlines what's included in the cost.
