never mind
I called the regional center
Apparantly have to wait for the school district to register me in Westchester
Lol I gave all the papers June 30th
They still haven't registered. then we have to sign a consent for CPSE eval, then they have 60 days to respond.
I worry whether he will be able to get in by Sept

Get on them to register him and tell them that while you are waiting, they are violating the "child find" regulations. A district is required to test a child ASAP if anyone comes to them suspecting a disability (including parent). Throwing out the lingo should move things along. Districts fear law suits regarding breaking child find laws.
And use this lingo and rationale again to ask them to try to expedite the eval to have it done by September. Put it on them that their district delayed registration, which delayed child find, and your child should not suffer bc of that.

I'm in Westchester too. I brought in my paper work to register DS with the district. Within a week I had a huge packet of paper work and evaluations we're being set up. Within two-three weeks we had all 5 evaluations done. They did psychological, class room evaulatiob, OT, PT, and speech. I'm actually sitting waiting to be called in for my CPSE meeting right now. I'm plea entry surprised his fast it's all moving. It's been about 6 weeks I started the process.
