Tramatic brain injury rehabilitation recommendations

My brother was in a serious car accident a few days ago and suffered swelling and bleeding in the brain amongst other things. But he needs lots a therapy and my family is having a hard time finding a rehabitation place for him. If anyone has experience with a place or knows of any we can look into. Thanks! Any bingo would be helpful.

Re: Tramatic brain injury rehabilitation recommendations

I am so sorry. When I was in high school I was a volunteer in the traumatic brain injury unit of St. Mary's Children's Hospital. I remember they work with adult rehab centers for when the children reach of age (some of them are there for many years). Perhaps try calling them to see if they can offer any recommendations?

You can contact Long Island Head Injury Association in Hauppauge. I am sure they can refer you to someplace.
