Do you disinfect toys when your kids are sick?
If so, how? What products? Clorox wipes don't kill it. (Less than 60% alcohol and its not listed on their site)
One of my DDs has the dreaded coxsackie and we have 8 million toys. :(

My baby has coxsackie now too... I feel like it's too late... I did lysol spray the knobs in house, high chair Ib hand washed a few toys I see went in mouth today...
Im not sure what to do
When I worked in day care we used some sort of bleach water mixture spray and wiped each toy... We washed soft toys in washing machine and some stuff even in dish washer...

They won't kill coxsackie though. :(
I lysoled everything. Wiped counters with 409. I put sheets and some toys in the wash. I might run out for bleach for toys and fill the sink to dump stuff in. I read to use 1gal bleach with1/4 cup of bleach and put in a spray bottle to spray hard toys like electronics. The bleach evaporates. Uck!
My kids share sippy cups and are all over each other, toys in mouth. I'd be shocked I'd my other dd didnt get it too. It's just a matter of when. And I'm not sure if I should just wait til she's done. DH and I are washing hands like crazy and lysoling. Especially the couch.

The Clorox anywhere spray works great and you can use it anywhere....most toys you can even run through the top shelf of the dishwasher. Cloth like toys I throw in the wash and dryer....haven't had any issues with a single one! Good luck!

Do you disinfect toys when your kids are sick?
when my daughter was younger I was paranoid to use chemicals ( she is my first ) I would wash all her toys with a hydrogen peroxide mix....or vinegar and water mix . I also used this method to clean my house ( before her my house would smell or windex and pledge or I didn't think it was clean ) if we weren't inhailing windex then it wasn't clean hahah. now she is three and I still clean her things with hydrogen peroxide she has only really been sick a handful of times so im not sure if it kills germs 100% she never had coxsaci :/ so I don't know if you need something stronger to kill it.
found this : Washing toys in a dishwasher cleans them, but it may not kill every germ. If your dishwasher offers a sanitizing cycle, use it to zap tough germs, especially during cold and flu season. A dishwasher's sanitizing cycle kills germs through high heat, so be careful with plastic toys.
Another option, is to sanitize bath toys with chlorine bleach. She prefers to avoid using bleach when possible but offers the following directions: Combine 1 tablespoon chlorine bleach with 1 gallon water. Spray toys thoroughly or submerge them in a bleach-water solution. Allow the solution to remain on the toys for at least 2 minutes before rinsing and drying thoroughly. hydrogen peroxide can also be used to sanitize toys. Spray a solution of one part water to one part hydrogen peroxide on toys and wait 10 minutes before rinsing.
