Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
I never tried it, but I remember reading about people placing ice on their belly and having the baby turn. Maybe Im looney, but I remember it for some reason!
Hope the baby flips for you!

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
I am not as far as you but in the same boat. Had a vaginal delivery for #1 and baby is currently breach. My dr said they can turn until 37w and that sometimes if you have a lot of fluid they can turn even later than that. This morning at my appt I was told only 4% of babies are breach by the time you would be ready to deliver. That said, I am following because i want my baby to turn too! Dr said to drink lots of water

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
i was in the same boat, and tried everything unfortunately DDnever flipped. my doc was going to try aversion to try and turn the baby, i opted not too b/c one of the risks was the cord wrapping around the neck, and i was too scared. Hope LO turns soon.!!

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
Just had the same thing happen. I had my DS in June via C-Section. I tried Webster 2x a week from 32 weeks on. My fluid was a little low towards the end so there was little chance of him flipping. I wanted a vaginal birth but everything worked out in the end.

Baby is still breech at 35w
thanks girls. I was opting against external version but my doctor thinks since I had a large baby previously I am a good candidate and I trust him. I really would like to exhaust all options, I know recovery from csection can be very hard.

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
My ds was breech and at 35 or 36 weeks I had the dr try to turn him twice. And twice he went back.
He turned on his own at 38 weeks. There's still hope!

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
good luck! I was really nervous for my csection, especially since it was my first birth. The recovery wasn't as bad as I thought, though. First week was rough, but got easier after that. I hope it works for you .

Baby is still breech at 35w
I think 35wks is really early to try and turn the baby - baby can still flip back at this point. Is there a reason why your doctor is suggesting you try and flip the baby this early?
I had vaginal with my 1st and had to have an emergency C-section with DD at 37 weeks, was also breech and the recovery with DD was MUCH easier than with DS.
The 1st few days is a bit rough but you're in the hospital with pain meds and nurses. IMO the recovery is not as bad as a lot of people think.

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
DS was breech b/c the cord was wrapped 3 times around his neck. I had a c-section and recovery was not bad at all. The woman in the bed next to me had a vaginal delivery, and I can definitely say she had a harder time getting around than I did.

We wont be trying for 2 weeks, so I will be 37w, I am relieved to hear recovery was easy. I schedule the external version but I have not decided if I will def do it, I go back and forth. My doctor really seems to think I should and I trust him so that has me leaning back to yes...
Not going to lie now having the date scheduled for this baby to come is very appealing, I went late with DS it would be awesome to walk in a week before DD and have this baby

Gotcha...I read it wrong and thought it would happen now. Ehh my doctor was also pushing for me to have one done. But reading on the risks and watching videos of women having them done was enough for me to say 'F! That!'
My water broke that night so I didn't have the chance to tell him I wasn't going through with it
My sister in law had it done with her 2nd child and she ended up flipping back to breech. So she went and did it for nothing. In the end she had to have a c-section anyway.

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
I was breach at either 32w or 34w (can't remember). I did some of the positions from this website and I think it did help:

Re: Baby is still breech at 35w
My 2nd dc was transverse until 34-35 weeks I tried the handstands, ice and the flashlight. I have no idea if any of this did the trick but dc turned by 36 weeks and stayed put. I think they can still turn up until the last minute if they are smaller and have enough room.

Baby is still breech at 35w
Good Luck!! My co-worker did the acupuncture at 37/38 weeks and it worked. Perhaps try that again closer to the end?
