Short haircut style
Ive had long hair for atleast 12 years
its past my shoulders w a bang and long layers
I am ready for a change and thinking a bob or a shoulder length bob
Nervous as hell- but i want a change
i have thick wavy hair, and a round face
any suggestions??

I don't have a suggwstion but My hair was almost to my butt and I chopped it to right below my shoulders on Saturday and some long bangs on the side, layers and angels and I feel fantastic lol so fresh and neat
I say DO IT.
I wouldn't go to short for me b/c it was so long and I wanted to be able to put it up sometimes and not have to actually style every day I'm a stay at home mom

Agreed.
I went much shorter earlier this year and really enjoy the change and ease in care.
Only issue with short hair is I feel you need to get it cut more frequently in order for it to maintain it's shape.
I need to book myself an appt as I type this!
P.S. I think most stylists at a GOOD salon will know what type of cut to give you that suits your features. I've had two different ones tell me that even though it's all the rage right now, it would probably be wise to not go so drastic in getting say, a pixie.

Thanks. I am a new mom and my son is giving me every reason to go shorter lol
I need to wash my hair everyday and long is not cutting it anymore

The only thing I will say is that I have a round face and short hair made it look rounder. I loved the haircut but, when I look at the pictures I looked much heavier than I was.

I have thick (straight) hair and a round face, and I love it cut so that it barely touches my shoulders!
This is the pic I took the last time I had it cut short-ish.

This. I have a very full round face and have to wear extensions a lot because my own hair will only grow to a certain point and I look soooo much heavier in the face with short hair

I had long hair and cut it short and thought it was MORE work. I had to wash it, I couldn't just throw it in a pony. I had to style it, I couldn't just let it air dry. If it was windy or rainy it looked terrible. So, my only caution is just to be careful of the style, make sure it's something easy.

Here are two actual pics of me (not great face wise, but good hair wise)
my hair doesn't usually frizz much, but on really humid days I do run a flat iron over the top layer of hair to sort of seal it and make it flatter.Image Attachment(s):

Short haircut style
I have thick wavy hair and short hair cuts are a ton of work for me. Any cut above my shoulders requires blow drying or straightening to look good. When my hair is longer I can wash it and let it dry naturally. I have a five month old and I have long hair with long layers- I can wash it and go- it also allows me to pull my hair up now that DD has started to pull everything she can grab.

On and I got a keratin treatment this time so it's not frizzy even if I don't dry it. My face is round and chubby :) lol
And like I said it had to be long enough to put I a pony otherwise it would drive me insane.

I use Moroccan oil in mine. My hair is very thick.
I have a hairstyle that is very short in the back, and longer in the front with a side swept bang.
I often use a hair pin on one side to get it out of my face, if it starts to be annoying.
Once in awhile head bands too.
I think if it's longer in the front, it helps to avoid the fat face look.

I have a round face and have a stacked bob as the shortest cut. I kept it like that for a few years and I got so many compliments on it. I started growing it out 3 years ago.
It was really easy to do, you need to find someone that can give you a good cut though. If you are by Bayside, Sam from Euphoria will give you an amazing cut. I was driving to him from NJ for a few years until I found someone here in NJ.
