I bought these reusable kids water bottles on amazon so my DD got a bottle of filtered water with lunch every day. She is a picky eater but usually she would have either a sandwich (PB or cheese) or warmed pasta leftovers in a Thermos. She also would have a yogurt pop and a fruit gummy snack pouch.

Snacks were water with either string cheese and crackers OR flavored mini rice cakes OR animals crackers OR Goldfish. As a special treat I would occasionally give her two cookies.

ETA - They had an early lunch and an afternoon snack in my DDs Kindergarten.

I give only water and I send him in with a camelbak water bottle(we have two so I wash one and send the other one). He usually gets pbj, turkey and cheese, or Mac and cheese for lunch. He also gets a fruit and a little dessert (fruit snacks, cookies, chips). For snack I usually send in pretzels, crackers, yogurt. Or a fruit.

Not sure about your school but at ours we can pay at the start of school for our child to receive milk or bottled water at lunch and/or snack. I paid for water at lunch. This saved me from packing a drink at lunch.

My kid is picky so we rotate and do more unusual things, my other one is starting kindergarten this year and will probably have more standard items.

Lunch:
Sandwiches
Rolled meats, cheese or cheese stick, veggies and fruit
Salads with fruit and veggies
Chicken drumstick, fruit and veggies
Soup, rolled meat and cheese
Once or twice for a treat chicken nuggets in a thermos.

Will often get either one cookie or a tiny mini muffin for dessert.

(Veggies are anything from cherry tomatoes, carrots, pepper strips. Fruits are usually pineapple, melons, grapes, berries or whatever fresh fruit they want at the time)

Snacks:
Trail mix I make
Smart pop popcorn and I mix in craisons and dried fruit
Cheese and crackers
Apple slices or other fruit
Sometimes a peanut butter bar (if not in an allergy class)
Rarely for a treat goldfish

I don't think cold cuts are healthy so I try not to buy them.

Lunches are:

Leftovers in a thermos (soup, stew, pasta, chicken)
Cold pasta with chick peas
Chicken tenders (healthier brand)
Quesadilla

Always have a side of a veggie and a fruit

Sometimes a cheese stick or frozen Gogurt

Water to drink

I only send in water for both water and snack. It started with water or snack only and juice box at lunch (the honest pouches) but I got cheap Chat Icon Now it only water.

Snacks are 1 fruit and something else. , either pretzels, cheese stick, yogurt. No granola bars because of allergies in the class.

Lunch, they are aloud to be buy once a week.
I make PBJ, turkey and cheese roll ups, pasta and broccoli, mac and cheese, pasta and sauce, meatballs. All hot stuff goes in a thermos.

My DS cycles through peanut butter and/or Nutella sandwich, turkey, salami or turkey pepperoni with either a rice cake or crackers, and yogurt. He either gets water, organic juice pouch, or organic chocolate milk. He airways gets a fresh fruit and a small dessert.
Snacks range from goldfish or crackers and a string cheese, some fruit and a yogurt stick, cereal or granola bar, rice cakes or pretzels
