I will be cooking for 12 people. We will be making grilled chicken, an italian salad and penne alla vodka. How should we marinate the chicken? Olive oil and italian seasonings like basil, oregano, parsley, pepper, etc. or in balsamic vinegar or something else? Please give me some suggestions for what would pair well with the penne alla vodka and taste good.

I use McCormick packets in the gravy/mashed potatoes section. There's one called Garlic, wine and herb that I love. I use lemon juice instead of the vinegar in the instructions, and only 2 Tbsp. Oil.
It's delicious, very flavorful.

I LOVE balsamic grilled chicken. I usually use lots of vinegar, some olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh basil...so good!

We've been doing grilled chicken with pesto sauce. We rub some on before it goes on the grill and then brush more on again when its almost done. We used costco's pesto sauce so its super easy. Then I also grill up some lemon slices with it.

I put my chicken in a ziplock bag with balsamic dressing over night and then after it's cooked, add a little more. I love it! If you don't like balsamic, lemon juice, salt and pepper is good too and very refreshing.
