Broadway tickets?
Curious if anybody has any suggestions. We're coming home to NY for Christmas (and our 6 yr anniversary).
Any good websites to purchase tickets for a Broadway show?
I used to go every year growing up, but stopped when I moved out of state (when I got married). What can I expect for prices nowadays? What I'm seeing now (Broadway.com) it's over $500 for only two tickets (not 'great' seats either), is that normal? Or is this site a ripoff?
Any suggestions?

We buy most of our tickets from Broadwaybox.com. The price will depend on what show you're going to see. We try to buy tickets for shows we think will be high in demand because once they are, they're not on that site anymore. We went to see Book of Mormon for $40 a ticket when it first came out and now they're super expensive!!
I'd say you could pay anywhere between $50-200 a ticket depending on the show.

Do you know anyone who works in the city and can get the tickets for you at the Box Office? You'll save on ticket fees, etc. Over $500 for 2 tickets is a complete rip off unless you are going to see Book of Mormon which is still a hot ticket.
You might also be able to just walk right up to the theatre when you get in to the city to see what you can get that day. We recently saw Jersey Boys and got tickets on Thursday for Saturday matinee for $100/ticket for seats in left orchestra about 15 rows from stage. Your best bet might be to just go to TKTS to see what they have if here are a few different shows you want to see.

Re: Broadway tickets?
Ok, thank you for that info! It just seemed asking a LOT for only 2 tickets, and not even great seats either. But that WAS actually Book of Mormon so that explains a bit. lol. I had no idea it was that popular, so I'll just have to look for something else. I'll check out Broadwaybox
