Re: Hospital Bag Check List
the list looks good. definitely pack the nipple cream but be sure to ask for some. not sure where you are delivering but at Katz in new hyde park, you can get if requested. They give small sample size tubes but i got a bunch and they are perfect to throw in your purse and keep with your pump

Hospital Bag Check List
I was at Winthrop and didn't have a shower in my room. Some do, some don't. So, you might not need all the shower stuff. I didn't want to shower down the hall, so I just waited until I got home. I would say only 2 pairs of pants & tanks. If you end up needing more, DH can bring them. I would bring a hoodie because I get cold. I brought my Always pads because I don't like the hospital pads.

For you- unless you'll be in the hospital for more than 1 day, you don't need 3 changes of clothes. Normally you'll give birth (hospital gown), stay the next day (shower that morning- switch to your pjs), and go home the next morning (I stayed in the same pjs and cleaned up in my own shower- the showers in the hospital are TINY).
You probably don't need a razor for the same reason. You probably won't be up for shaving. My only shower in the hospital wasn't even a good wash because I was in so much pain and the shower was so small. I soaped up quickly, did my hair quickly and was out!
I'd get travel size for all your toiletries and keep them in a little makeup bag to save space.
I would have DH bring a little bag you've prepacked for LO the day he picks you up. I don't think a stroller blanket is necessary, but I don't know about your hospital. At mine, DH pulled directly to the front of the building - DS was in the open air for about 10 seconds total.
I'd say the less you bring, the better! I don't know your specific situation- if you'll be delivering far from home, you might want to bring more, but I find people tend to overpack!

I am delivering about 35 minutes from my house, so I would rather have an extra pair of pants and top so that way DH doesn't have to run home for things since it isn't around the corner

Hospital Bag Check List
You may like to have your own pillow and towel... Also, I found it helpful to bring my own sturdy folder. We got lots of documents and stuff, and I didn't want it to get creased or folded.

I have delivered at Winthrop twice so far and I will be back there shortly, luckily I have always had a shower in my room. I couldn't imagine not showering afterwards. I showered about 3 hours after I delivered dc #2. To the OP I would bring whatever will make you feel comfortable during your stay, even if you think you may not need it. At least you have it if you want it. I think your list looks pretty reasonable. The only thing I would skip is the hoppy pillow. For me there was no need to drag it for the few days I was there. It's just one more thing to keep track of and then clean when you get home.

Re: Hospital Bag Check List
I would def bring three pants. I wanted out of the hospital gown asap. to feel human again. And the extra pants are good backup for accidents. I was there for two nights bc i gave birth at 830 am. I would also get face cleansing wipes. Just in case you dont want to or are unable to walk right away.

Hospital Bag Check List
I just remembered something! A bag to separate out dirty laundry to take home. I just brought a thick plastic bag in my duffle and folded my dirty laundry in it and tucked it back into the bag.

Hospital Bag Check List
When I had DS, they wound up keeping me for 5 days due to my BP, I did not have a c-section. I mostly re-wore outfits and DH brought some over. The Boppy was useful for BF. Toiletries are good to have. I didn't like the hospital hats for DS so I brought my own, he wound up losing one when they changed him. It was really nice to have my slippers since my feet were swollen and socks were uncomfortable. If you forget the bags you can always use the ones at the hospital.
I think your list is pretty good.

I packed snacks for me and dh. He was feeding me fruit cups while they were delivering the placenta. I was starving.

Definitely have food lined up. I didn't eat for 36 hours. I had asked someone on the first day (nurse or dr) if a tray could be brought up whenever I have the baby and they said yes. When I finally had the baby, around 7pm, I was told it was too late :( This was at Winthrop. And...I'm pretty sure they had a tray for me after DD 1 was born around 8pm, so idk if the hours changed, or if your nurse has to order it for you before closing.
