Laser hair removal?

I went for consultation for laser this morning on a groupon I bought. It took me a long time to pick a place and work up the courage to go. Anyway, they recommend 8 treatments to really get rid of the hair bc of growth cycles etc. The groupon covers 6. For an extra $480 I get 2 more visits, 4 treatments to lip area free and 2 year guarantee for my chin. Or for $980 I can do lip and chin 8 visits and 2 year guarantee. Its a lot of $$. I'm leaning towards the 1st option as I get the 2 years with it. WWYD?
For those who have done laser have you had good results?

I'm guessing it depends on the area, but I was told I needed 6. I finished bikini, and on Monday I'm going for my last session for legs and underarms, and the results are great. I still have some hair, but nothing compared to the way it used to be.

The results are good but it is not complete hair removal - it's just less hair. I've done my upper lip (12 treatments) and underarms (6 treatments).

I'm up to about 40+ sessions for face. I facial hair is hormonal and won't go away 100%. I go about every 6-8 weeks now since 90% is gone and pay $40 a session. It also helps with acne.
