Harbes apple picking
Does anyone know if they charge the $8 for kids under 2? I know they are free at the barnyard, but for apple picking, they say the $8 includes a 3-4 lb bag of apples. I don't even know what to do with all of those apples if they each get a bag.

When we took DD last year and she was under 2 we definitely only got 2 bags of apples. I don't think we paid for her but I'm not 100% positive.

Re: Harbes apple picking
I was just there this past weekend and they don't charge for under 2 (maybe even 3, my nephew is 4 and he was charged $8 and got his own bag), and they won't get a bag.

We were there on Sunday and my 2.5 year old was free and they still gave him a bag to fill with apples. I don't know how consistent they are in their policies, whatever those policies may be.

Re: Harbes apple picking
They are very inconsistent with their pricing and the information isn't very clear. The prices listed are for adults, children 3-12 and under 2. So my husband asked them what if the child is between 2 and 3 and the girl was stumped! She was so confused she ended up not charging us for our two children (one is 3.5 and the other one is under 2), but gave us 4 bags for apple-picking.

Re: Harbes apple picking
When we were there they asked if DD was under 3 - which she isn't so we paid for her, but kids 2 and under are free. It's pretty clearly written on the big signs they have over the registers.
On a side note, each bag holds about 5-8 apples depending on which variety you pick.

I was just going to post about this :)
Can you purchase an additional bag (or two) if you want more apples at the $8 price?
Did they have much going on for kids when you went?

I'm sure you can purchase additional bags...
They had pony rides ($5 a ride, though I was really annoyed bc the kids ahead of my son went 3 times around and my son only went once bc the lady in charge said the line was too long... There were maybe 8 or 10 ppl in line and they were using 4 horses at a time so I didn't see what the problem was), baby goats and some chickens (too far away to pet or feed but they were cute to look at), 6 or 8 bean bag toss games, a wooden tractor climbing structure, a pumpkin they could go inside, candle making you had to pay for (I think the smallest candle was $7), and a corn maze that you had to pay extra for. There was yummy food for sale, too, like apple cider donuts, apple turnovers, roasted corn on the cob, drinks, sandwiches, etc.
