Full Dormer Project Starting today
Full Dormer project starting today - they are telling us 12 weeks (fingers crossed). Today didn't start out great, they told us they would be onsite by 7-730. Dumpster came by 7, lumber by 730, no crew until 830 (after a phone call) and no project lead until 915. He basically came for the check, to give us plans and LEFT saying the foreman for the demolition was one of the guys. No portapotty like they promised either. More than a little weary - they are big name which is one of the reasons we went with them, but the non-chalant attitude is not the warm and fuzzy we should have gotten for a six figure project start.

Full Dormer Project Starting today
Good luck! And they definitely need to have a portapotty! All of those workers cant be using your bathroom all day long!

They are required to have a portapotty - call them and say you want it there tomorrow or you won't let the workers work and will stop payment on the check.
Good Luck - be firm with them or they will walk over you.

Full Dormer Project Starting today
UGH such a tough day :( I was looking forward to getting it started and I have a feeling that this is going to an all consuming, stay on them type of job. I would have thought for such a well known business with trucks all over the island they would have been more on the A game then they were today. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. Good news is the inside is gutted, the doghouses are gone and the tarps are down.

Are you living in the house through this? If you aren't I wouldn't worry about it just let them do their thing at least for the start.
If you are living through it, I would have likely chose to not live through it just makes things more stressful.

Full Dormer Project Starting today
Not living in the house, living with my MIL. They did a good job of cleaning up at the end of the day and of course Day two starts out with rain (whoever has the off switch for the rain - I just need EIGHT days) :) All joking aside, they already have a game plan for indoor work so they can take the roof off tomorrow.
