Psychologist/ social worker recommendation for toddler
Need recommendations: I'm looking for the name of a psychologist or social worker who I can see to help us work through some issues with our toddler. I am looking for someone who specializes in toddlers or who you have personally used successfully with a toddler. (I know many regular therapists do children, but not specifically toddlers). Thanks!

Psychologist/ social worker recommendation for toddler
With toddlers the psych will prob mostly work with the parents, depending on the issue. The psychs who work for the agencies that provide services through the cpse would probably be very experienced. You may want to ask your pediatrician for names.

Psychologist/ social worker recommendation for toddler
I used a social worker in West Islip that my son loved! He worked a lot with DH and I on his behavior and also talked with my son. It helped. His name was Ken Edwards.

If your looking for someone who specializes in the birth to 3yrs population, your best bet would be to contact an agency ( NY Therapy Placement Services, Kidz Therapy, Marion K Solomon etc...).

Mary Gravina in East Islip..you'll love her! I havent used her personally but our offices are across from each other. She just has an amazing ability to connect with and help kids. I have her number at work. Fm me if you'd like it.

Contact the NYU Child Study Center. They have locations in Manhattan and in Lake Success. They are very experienced in a multitude of issues, even things typically considered "rare" and work with kids of all ages. I'm a psychologist and when I needed help for my son, this is where I went.
ETA: He was 3 when we started therapy there.
