Sleeping

My DS is just shy of a month old and last night was sleeping over 5 1/2 hours (totally not complaining). I know you usually don't wake a sleeping baby, but I dont want him to be dehydrated. He is still very little! Would you wake him up to feed him? I decided to wake him and he was STARVING. He went right back to bed for another 4.5 hours.

Thanks...

No - I never woke my boys at night. I did wake them up every 3-4 hrs during the day though.

Nope, never woke a sleeping baby. They will wake up when they need food. Waking a baby can create worse habits.

Of course, if your baby isn't gaining weight, then the dr might tell you to wake the baby. But otherwise, nope!

I only wake during the day..dd is 2.5 months and sleeps 9-11 hours straight at night, and has been since before 2 months-she started sleeping 5-6 hours straight right around 4/5 weeks?

Never woke either of children at night for a feeding. I waited for them to let me know when they wanted to eat.
