Born at Mid-Island Hospital in Bethpage?
I am working on some family genealogy and looking for help!
If you were born at Mid-Island hospital in Bethpage (now St. Joseph's), can you tell me what "City or Village" is listed on your birth certificate?
I am asking bc my family member was born at home and it reads for the place of birth:
County: Nassau
Town: Oyster Bay
City or Village: North Massapequa
Since the hospital is in Bethpage, I am thinking that his parents lived in North Massapequa at the time (which is why it is on the birth certificate instead of "Bethpage").
I just can't get confirmation anywhere, so you all came to mind...

I grew up in Bethpage and now reside in North Massapequa. Both are town of Oyster bay. There is a part of Bethpage that extends over and its SD Plainedge.
The hospital is Bethpage.
Im thinking that they did reside in North Massapequa as well but it could be Bethpage depending on where exactly. all it take is one block to be seperate.

I was and I just had to actually go get a new copy of my birth cert recently and had to go to Oyster Bay Town Hall.

My DS was born there. It says Bethpage.
He was born in 1980 so maybe before that it might not have been bethpage.
I think it would depend on how far back you are going......Bethpage is a relatively new town since like early 1900's I think.
But my DH's birth cert def says Bethpage and he was living in Freeport at the time so the Birth Cert is the town of the hospital
