Question about bleeding

Hi all,
I am very early on (only about 5 weeks). I had some sharp pains in my lower ab area and then some bleeding (it was red but not a crazy amount of blood). I still have some light bleeding that I see on the TP after I use the bathroom (nothing coming out on a pad or anything).

I'm not quite sure what to do at this point? Do I just wait and see? How do I know if it's over?

Call your doctor for 2 betas done 2 days apart. That's exactly how my early mc felt and the bleeding came and went over the course of a week until I passed everything and had heavy bleeding. I hope that is not the case for you but it would be best to find out

Not to scare you, but I had similar symptoms initially and it was a burst ectopic. I would call the doctor and have them at least do bloodwork...they may also do a sono...if you have severe cramping/pain, call the doctor and go to the ER...I didn't realize what was happening to me and it could have been a lot worse than it was, since I thought it was a miscarriage and could wait. I feel like people don't talk about ectopics often and it is something that can be very serious if not treated.

I didn't bleed with my chemicals right away.
With my successful pregnancy I spotted three or four times. Call your Ob to check it out.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, the bleeding and cramping hasn't stopped. I am going to give my doc a call.
