Southside Childbirth Classes?
I'm wondering if anyone knows if Southside offers childbirth classes.... when I search online I only see things through north shore LIJ and they are all out in Nassau. I'd be interested in breastfeeding CPR and other courses they have, especially if they're free!
Also, has anyone done the hospital tour there? I heard they do it every Saturday, how was it? do you need to sign up for this? Thanks!

Southside was offering them when I had my son three years ago. I would call, or find out about them if you go on the tour first. We didn't sign up for the tour, we just showed up. The nurse was very nice and it was informative.

I took the baby basics class offered by Southside, I took my breastfeeding class at CFA with Mary ( it was infomative), my lamaze with Wendy from Baby breaths (amazing) and my CPR at babies r us with Linda Zaccaro (also amazing). Most of the classes are held at the Katz womens hospital in New Hyde Park or in thier Manhasset hospital so it was a hike. We also did the hospital tour. It was nice, quick and informative. I think the tour was more beneficial for DH because he was the one coming and going more so then I was. I had a private room and I think I left it once lol to go for a walk.
