21 years ago my puppy Pippin snuck out of the house when trick or treaters were there and drowned in the nearby canal. We didn't even know she was in the main hall, she snuck her way in. And then snuck out. By the time we realized she was missing it was to late. Dogs go crazy with all the trick or treaters you don't allow into your home, and its so easy for them to get lost.


Since then my dogs spend Halloween night in the bedroom. They are never happy about this, but its for their own safety.
