What do I need for this? Slip? Spanx?
I got a cream colored sweater type dress. However the material is thinner than a typical sweater dress and the dress is slightly form fitting. Not tight, but slightly form fitting.
When I tried it on, you can see a lot through it. Like the outline of my belly button and my rib cage etc. (I have slight scoliosis on one side so my right rib cage protrudes a bit more than my left, and it's noticeable in tight things, at least to ME it is)
And even with a thong on, you can see the outline of my underwear.
So I definitely need something underneath it to cover and smooth everything out.
Do I go for a spanx like product? Or will just a full slip do? I don't really own anything like this so I am clueless.
What do you suggest?

I would do a Spanx like this one:
Spanx
In my line of work, I have become an expert on the perils of ill-fitting undergarments. Visible panty lines (VPLs) can ruin an outfit!

I would see how it looks with both spanx and a slip. for me, spanx is great until i eat something, then my tummy gets bigger and rolls make whatever spanx garment im wearing roll down. i would get a full nude colored slip

Plus I would imagine that to be uncomfy. I see they make spanx like slips- like a dress, no legs on them, but tighter and holds you in more than a slip.
Maybe that would work..

I'd say slip. If the material of the dress is that thin, you'd be able to see the outline of your legs when you walk if you wore spanx (or anything in the shorts family).
