prenatals?
Hi girls. My RE prescribed Rx prenatal vitamins and the co-pay is over $50/month and that's for the generic!!! I cannot afford that especially with co-pays for monitoring. What prenatals are you taking? Any good over the counter ones you can recommend?

ask for samples and they may give you ones with coupons that pay the copay for 6-9 months of full prescription

These. CVS has buy one get one free deals all of the time. My OB said that they are perfectly fine.

Re: prenatals?
Do you girls take a separate iron pill along with them? None of the OTC gummy vitamins contain iron. I wish my ob ok'd them, but for that reason alone they said no.

I definitely recommend Rainbow Light prenatals. I order them off Amazon. They have all the recommended amounts of the necessary vitamins (including iron) and there are 150 pills per bottle, so it will last you 5 months. I also take their DHA pill (its a separate pill) and there are 60 per bottle. The only con is that the prenatal vitamin is rather large, but you only take one a day so IMO its worth the horse pill.

Garden of life , Kind Organics Prenatal. It costs $40 for a 6 week supply. It has enough iron so I don't have to supplement . I do supplement calcium and magnesium along with cod liver oil and probiotics.

Lots of the women here suggested Rainbow Light from amazon and its been great since i switched to this brand. You only take it once a day so you are saved the hassle of multiple doses.
