What did you do with you old baby items?

A few items I'm able to resell or give to expecting parent friends of mine...but I have a bunch of items that I don't know what to do with.

I'm happy to list on ebay, but the shipping fees would be really high!

ie: baby carriers w/base (of course I have two of everything b/c I have twins)
or
rock n plays
or
bouncey seats

Suggestions? Is there something easier I can do to get rid of these items?

Do you belong to a local church that you can ask if they have a family in need?

I've been doing the same as you - giving to friends and family who are expecting, but the big stuff still remains in my basement.

You could also try craigslist and state local pick-up only to eliminate the need for shipping.

Do you have a local buy/sell Facebook page? I've posted some things on there (but, gave most of my stuff away).

Either sell on craigslist or wait til spring to have a garage sale if you want to sell them without having to ship, or eBay has a local selling option where the buyer picks up the item. Otherwise, if you don't want to sell them, I would just donate them to a local church or thrift shop.

We will probably craigslist bigger ticket items and do a garage sale for the rest...

Re: What did you do with you old baby items?

I gave a lot of the newborn items to a friend but I have since been selling at a consignment sale that takes place every 6 months. The one I participate in is Chicken Kidz. I really like the family that runs it. There is also Kidz Closet and I have heard they are good. FM me if you want me to put you in touch with the woman from Chicken Kidz or to walk you through the options. If you work the sale you get higher commissions (I don't do it). Most people price and tag everything themselves but if you want someone to pick it up from you and do it all you just get less commission. After the first time it is easy to keep going and worthwhile to sell any clothing that is outgrown but in good condition. Toys and baby gear sell quickly. I did great selling my stroller.
