what do you wear as a fall/ spring jacket?

debating whether to keep this:

Got it for $59.00 in tall but wondering if I should just get a basic trench jacket to wear.
I currently have a puffy vest and big fleece zipper jacket. I was looking for something less "sloppy" to wear. I am a SAHM mom right now but want smething if i go out DH for dinner etc.

I'm big on a nice denim jacket for fall/spring.

i have that jacket in black with a thicker lining for as a fall/winter casual jacket.
