coffee drinkers..
I was never a coffee drinker so for my prior pregnancies coffee was never an issue now I have to drink my morning cup of coffee...can I still continue while pregnant? or should I stop? it's just a morning cup that I really need and rarely get more than that. TIA

You can have 200 mg of caffeine per day. So as long as that cup of coffee is under 200 mg, you're good. Enjoy!

I have had one cup this entire pregnancy. If I don't have my morning cup, I get a nasty migraine.

Re: coffee drinkers..
I had stopped drinking it when I found out I was pregnant but my doctor said it was perfectly fine. I have one small cup a day. I also tend to get nasty headaches so sometimes without coffee, it just makes them so much worse.

Re: coffee drinkers..
My doctor had told me to have one cup of caffeine a day to keep my urine moving to prevent kidney stone attacks since I am prone to them. I can't imagine he would have told me something that was harmful, so that is why I had no issue with drinking a cup of coffee a day. All was well.

It's fine, though I switched to decaf during fertility treatments. But beware, a lot of people, me included find that coffee doesn't taste right during pregnancy. Since about 8 weeks I can't even get a coffee down.

Re: coffee drinkers..
I was a big coffee drinker before getting my BFP... I was nervous so I stopped cold turkey... big mistake, I had the worst caffeine withdrawal headache, it was terrible. If you want to switch to decaf I would suggest weaning and don't do what I did cold turkey!

Re: coffee drinkers..
During the week I would have my morning cup of coffee on the train to work. On the weekends I would make a pot of half-caff and have 2 cups because I love love love my coffee.
Now with the baby I'm still having only 1 cup in the morning and half-caff on the weekends because of breastfeeding. I will enjoy soooooo much when I can have a few cups a day.

I still have a cup a day, most days or half calf. In beginning of my pregnacy I went from 3 cups a day to none, didn't like the test, I had such bad headaches because of this.

Re: coffee drinkers..
I had a cup a day with my first, and I have now had a cup a day with my second. I did switch to half and half when I was trying for my second because it was taking a while. But then went back to regular.

Re: coffee drinkers..
I have a cup of coffee a few times a week now. Both pregnancies I've had a strong aversion to coffee in the first trimester so I didn't really start drinking it again until about 14 or 15 weeks.

Re: coffee drinkers..
Prior to being pregnant I would drink 3-4 cups a day and the minute I peed on the stick, the smell would make me gag! I do still have a cup of tea every morning and watered down iced tea in the afternoon
