Coffee drinkers who work full time (esp if you love dunkin donuts coffee)...
Would you like to get a 1 cup coffee maker (like a keurig) to have at work? DH loves dunkin donuts coffee, he drinks other kinds if it's offered to him, so i'm not sure if I should just get him a hefty dunkin gift card or get him the coffee maker for work. He has mentioned the 1-cup coffee maker a while back but he wasn't dying for one...
Oh and I had posted about my sister a while back how it was so hard to think of a gift for her, well I ended up getting her the UGG Dakota slippers! I think she's going to love them, so thanks to those who suggested UGGs!

Id prefer a Keurig, if they are allowed. We arent allowed to have them anywhere in our building, so I would check on that first, just in case.

I have heard from avid coffee lovers that those machines (keurigs, tassimo's ect) don't produce a nice cup of joe.
I personally have never had a cup of coffee from them so I cannot say, but I would probably do a taste test before I dropped money on it.
I know Farberware makes a 2-4 cup percolator, which is what I would have on my desk if I had one. that, and a can of Lavazza, black.

hmm if they specifically want DD coffee, then I'd go witha gift card. Tassimo and Keurig I believe do not ahve dd pods. i tassimo doesn't, cus i have one. If you decide to go with the machine, I'd say Keurig because the pods are easily available in many varieties. Tassimos are a pain in the arse to find unless you order online.

I am a hardcore DD drinker. Honestly, if that's what he loves, that's what I'd stick with. I have the keuring, and I like it a lot, but NOTHING beats DD coffee. So, I'd say either a hefty DD gift card OR like Ophelia said-the farberware percolator (which makes AWESOME coffee).I'd make a basket- the percolator, coffee filters, a few bags of DD coffee, suger (if he uses it), a mug/travel coffee cup..
ETS: I love that I refered to Ophelia as Ophelia..I know your real name is Jess. HAHAHA

i would want the keurig...thats b/c i own one..LOL. i bought a mini one for my desk for when i returned from maternity leave. then we lost our offices in the move and put into cubes and its considered a fire hazard.
do people sneak in these things..sure. we had people with an espresso maker, toasters,etc. but god forbid anything should happen and go on fire :(
and this one dude would burn his freaking espresso all the time and the office would stink for hours of burnt coffee.

Yes, I LOVE my Keurig but it doesn't work out well with the DD coffee in it.
If he likes regular coffee (other than DD) I'd say yes, get the machine. The coffee is awesome from it!

bonus, you don't need filters with the percolator.
there is probably slightly more cleanup involved than with one of those machines though...but like I said, I'd sacrifice for the good stuff.
I love this basket idea too.  maybe I should send this link to my husband

I am lucky enough to have a Kuerig machine at work already (a larger corporate one), but if I didn't, I would love to have one at work! My MIL got one of the single cup ones at work and she loves it.
Oh and the Dakota slippers are a great gift for your sister!!! I got them for my mom last Christmas and she loves them!!! So cozy!!!!!!!!

Ive been looking for someone to sell me a used Keurig. I drink coffee throughout the day and frankly a glass carafe is dangerous in my setting. A gift card would be impractical.

BIG COFFEE DRINKER.... HAAAAAAAAAATE KEURIG (we have it at work)
I like plain ol' Bodega coffee... I think your best best is a gift card =) when you are a hard core coffee-lover, its hard to break the mold of what you like... might as well stick to what HE likes...

DH drinks about 5 cups of DD coffee a day. His parents got him the Keurig, we both hate it and gave it away. Even with the DD coffee - my Krupps makes a much better cup of coffee and the Keurig espresso should be ashamed of itself!
We are not allowed to have any small appliances at my job, but people do sneak them.
I would do the gift card (and that is what I am getting DH as a stocking stuffer)

I am a big coffee drinker. We have a Keurig at work and the coffee is OK, but I wouldn't want to deal with cleaning out the individual cup of coffee if I was using DD coffee. Personally, I would rather have a little 4-cup Mr. Coffee maker or something like that.

I agree. I only drink DD coffee and don't particularly like Keureg coffee. It tastes stale to me
