Looking for a place for a first birthday party
Hi im looking for a place to hold my sons first birthday party. This will be a family party so i am looking to possibly rent out a room and maybe have the food catered. Im really looking for something other than a vfw, etc.. Somewhere with a better atmosphere. Any suggestions will help! Thanks so much!

peppercorns in Hicksville, great food, they have two rooms
you can have a party at the Riverhead foundation Atlantis marine world, I believe you cater the food in.

Looking for a place for a first birthday party
Thanks so much for your responses so far. I just wanted to be a little nit clearer. Im looking to have the food catered or brought in. Im really looking for a place that will let me rent a room and bring in my own food :) Im open to restaurants too but they have to be reasonable Because we have a very big family!

Marconi manor in Islip! We did a sun brunch and everyone loved it. It's a big room. We had 80 ppl incl about 25 kids and had entertainment on the dance floor and a craft table.

We had my dd's 1st bday here, they find a great job and the food was delish. ETA: very reasonable, I think it's now 17 a person, half for children under 10 and children under 3 are free

Amity harbor civic center....
You rent the room, it's right in the canal... Just renovated too... Has a small kitchen so you can cook or reheat foods...
I had dd 1st bday party there and my mil 70th party....

I actually JUST had DD's 1st birthday there today! It was wonderful and everyone raved over the food. We did two appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and cake, all family style, for $26pp (1/2 price for kids under 10). The bill was VERY reasonable. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves and had about 50 people - we originally planned for 60-65. The staff was wonderful to work with and we were so pleased with everything. Feel free to FM me if you want more info

I e been to parties here. Big room, nice set up, though a bit dated. But you can definitely bring your own food.

Re: Looking for a place for a first birthday party
For DD's first birthday we rented our local town's recreation center (we are in the town of Islip), and we had food catered and even got a clown to keep the little ones entertained.
