Getting prepared.
So I am trying to mentally prepare to get back in the ring.
My DD is now 13 months. I took us almost 2 and half years to conceive her. We did Clomid and metformin and finally concieved on our 6th cycle with a 3 month break in between cycles 3 and 4. We were preparing to start IVF when we were blessed to concieve. It was a very emotional journey. We tried to conceieve naturally for 1 year and then did temping and OPK. Then to the RE and meds. I know we got very lucky with her and I am so thankful. I am now starting to wonder if I should be starting to try again(not that we haven't been trying to prevent it). What if it takes so long again? I dont want to deal with BFN after BFN again. I feel like I struck lotto with her and now am I tempting fate by wanting another. Grrr so many emotions. I also have to change OB's. I was not thrilled with mine or the hospital. Sorry to vent on here but its so hard and only others who have gone through the long trek would understand..Thanks.

Getting prepared.
I will say don't try unless you're prepared for it to work. Just bc it took that long the first time doesn't mean it will the second time. Good luck with number 2

Yep, well said: my little miracle happened when DS was 8 months old (he took 2 years & IVF). She was my second month trying.

Re: Getting prepared.
I will say that sometimes the 2nd happens very quickly b/c you've already figured out what works with #1. DS took about a year to conceive. I'm not pg with #2 and it happened our 2nd month, but really our first since we did the exact same protocol with the RE as what worked for DS.

I hope it works that quickly! That would be great!
