Moms who used Progesterone during pregnancy
Hi all!
I'm new to lifamilies :) My OB suggested progesterone suppositories after multiple chemical pregnancies. He mentioned he did have to let me know there is a 1-3% chance of birth defects ranging from genital anomalies to heart defects. I feel as though progesterone use is pretty common and I was never aware of these potential effects. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Moms who used Progesterone during pregnancy
Hi and welcome!! I was on progesterone suppositories when I started the iui process. I got pg with my twins and continued for a little while on progesterone suppositories. My twins are 4 years old and perfectly fine. Other than being born prematurely they've never had any issues. Good luck!!

I did IF treatments so progesterone is pretty much the norm when you have IVF or IUIs. I have a 16 month old who is perfect. I'm currently pregnant again and still on progesterone and will probably be on 17p(higher dose) to prevent premature labor once I get to 17 weeks(was on it last pregnancy still had my DD early).
Obviously your OB wants to keep you pregnant and I'm sure you want to stay pregnant so it's very unlikely you would have any birth defects so I would just do it.

Moms who used Progesterone during pregnancy
I had low progesterone with all three of my pregnancies. I was on the suppositories until 12 weeks. I was on Crinone 8% daily. My son is 4 and absolutely fine. My daughter is 3 and absolutely fine and I am 16 weeks pregnant with #3 and so far all is well! Good luck!

I used Progesterone early pregnancy, and my daughter is perfectly fine. She was born a month early though, but no complications from that.

I used progesterone for both pregnancies. I was unaware of these risks. That being said, my son is perfect and here's to hoping #2 is the same!
