Eyelash Curlers

Are they all created equal, or are the $$ REALLY better? I had been using a cheapy $3 one for awhile, but it died, so I bought another cheap one (same brand - maybe tweezerman or something)... and I just feel like this one isn't quite working the same way AND I keep getting my left eyelid caught... this MAY be my own ineptitude, though. Is it worth investing in a more expensive one? By more expensive, I mean, like, $10. IF so, which one?

Re: Eyelash Curlers

I have the Sally Hansen one with the white and orange handle...I think its about $6 or $7. I like it...my eyelashes were all gone from chemo and when they started to grow back, they were straight as pins until they grew in to a certain length. It didn't catch my lids even with the short length that my lashes were.

I don't know the brand off hand, but the last one I bought was more than I usually spend (about $12) and I notice a difference.

I don't think $$$ is necessarily better, but different brands do work better for different people.

I use a Sephora one currently. It works--It doesn't amaze me, but I don't know if any curler would.

I just know I like the ones without springs.

ETA- Tweezerman isn't that cheap. They are around $13.

Trim maybe?

I do think that those super cheap one probably aren't that good ( I hated my Maybelline one), but I don' t know if the very expensive ones are worth it. My $17 Sephora one was probably overpriced, but it works for me. Tweezerman ( I think I had one & liked, but I forget) & Sally Hanson are probably good ones to try.

I've purchased my fair share of curlers, from $$$ to cheap, looking for the perfect size and tension.

Revlon was my long time favorite because it fit my eye size the best and offered a good amount of tension. But I recently purchased a couple of Revlon curlers and I didn't find them to be all the great for me.

My current fav is Charlotte Tilbury.

Re: Eyelash Curlers

I never really thought about eye size!

I do think the one I bought is 'trim" - I knew it started with a T. I have to invest in a better one. Its very mediocre.

Re: Eyelash Curlers

I have 3 and do notice a different in quality and how long the curl lasts when I use them. The cheaper ones tend to be stiffer to use and the rubber thingie inside the curler gets worn out faster (I know some come with replacement rubber things but I always lose them).

I have one now that is my favorite but I cant remember what brand it is. I want to say Tweezerman, but I have another Tweezerman that doesnt work as well and feel like I wasted my money. This one has gold handles and I bought it off HauteLook or RueLaLa as part of a complete Eye Makeover set, it included mini tweezers and the ones with super pointy tips that grab the tiny hairs you barely see on the edge of your upper lips. If I see it again, I will buy more of them.

They look like the ones in the this pic but without the black accent:
