Appointment with Neurologist next week - what to expect?
DS (5 yo) has an appointment with a pediatric neurologist next week to be evaluated for ADHD. I have no idea what to expect. No clue what they'll be doing, how long it takes, etc. Has anyone else been through this that can give me some guidance as to what to expect at this appointment?

Appointment with Neurologist next week - what to expect?
We had already had DS evaluated through CPSE, so we brought all of our results from the PT, OT, and speech evals and also the psych report. He had already had IQ tests and other tests done also, so we brought that. We went over his symptoms, his typical day, she observed him, etc. I'm not putting him on meds anytime soon, so she told us other options about what we can do to help him. I'm a special ed teacher, so she didn't go in as much detail as she normally would. It was a rather easy appointment. FM me if you have any questions! Good luck.

Re: Appointment with Neurologist next week - what to expect?
She basically did a physical on DS and asked me a lot of questions about his behavior. She sent me home with questionnaires for me and DH as well as his teachers. Then we had a follow up appointment to go over everything. Based on everything in the papers, what I told her, and what she observed, DS got an ADD iInattentive diagnosis.

Our first appointment was a quick physical check, along with lots of questions. We were given questionaires for us and his teacher. We were also given referrals for an MRI of the brain, blood work, and complete neuropsychiatric testing. All had to be done before we came back to discuss results.
