I use three village and love them, especially the smaller patchogue office. But Dr. Welischar delivered DD2 and she was amazing.

Re: Stony brook recommendations

I use Three Village also, and love the Patchogue office...I primarily see Loren Lyons, the NP, even throughout my pregnancy I chose to see her most often, unless they "made" me see one of the doctors.

That said, I love Stony Brook OB/GYN...Dr. Porte was on call when DD3 was born and he is great. If I was willing to go to Bohemia to see them (I'm not pregnant now), I would switch to him. Convenience wins out for me now, but in the future I would consider switching to him.

Agree. All of the doctors at the practice, Stony Brook Gyn/Ob, are competent, but if I had to choose a doctor for delivery it would be her (though you can;t choose who delivers you unless it's a scheduled section or induction).

Keep in mind if u go into labor there is chance u will get a different dr. When I had my first DD none of them were on at the hospital so I had a stranger doing my c-section. It was a sunday night

My c-sect is at 7:30 am so if you go in labor around that time she will not be available for roughly a half hour Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hope you are feeling good. When is the official due date??
