Ok, so the sonogram is canceled. IUI instead.
I have low ovarian reserve and am perimenopausal. Because of this, I sometimes produce eggs early. I'm on day 4 of my cycle and have a fully mature and ready-to-go egg. My lining even looks good and my estrogen levels are up (also a signature of my condition). It's trilaminar and the thickness is good. The problem is, the chances of these kinds of cycles resulting in a pregnancy is low, although it does happen. Everything else looks good. So we decided to do the trigger shot this morning and I go in tomorrow for the IUI tomorrow - day 5 of my cycle. Part of me thinks that perhaps we should have just tried on our own this one. But I panicked since I am unsure how many chances I'll have left.
Keep your fingers crossed and send me some happy thoughts.
