Cruise & Cruise Excursions
My family and I are taking a cruise in March. My daughter will have just turned 2 and at one of the ports of call, Nassau, Bahamas, there really isn't anything else to do except Atlantis. My husband and I have been there before and its not one of our favorite ports, but we've never been to Atlantis, and now with my daughter, thought she would have a blast there.
We are taking the cruise through Carnival. the excursion to Atlantis is $189.00 per adult. My daughter is free. it includes a voucher for lunch and a bus to drop off and pick up. I'm not going to lie, $189.00 per person, for a 5 hour excursion is steep. I looked everywhere online to see if I could find it cheaper and the cheapest I could find is $145, just for the day pass to Atlantis. Lunch and transportation is not included.
Its my understanding that a taxi will run about $12-14 for both of us each way. I would assume we would pay no less than $30 for lunch at the resort.
Has anyone else booked the Aquaventure day pass at Atlantis not with the cruise company and found better deals? Any help is appreciated!

I've heard of people renting a "day" room At the comfort suites which is right next door to the Atlantis and you get full use of all Atlantis facilities. It's about $350 I believe give or take. Call them up directly and ask.

Cruise & Cruise Excursions
We booked through NCL when we went. It was expensive as well, I don't remember exactly how much but my then 2 and 3 year olds loved it. I was a little iffy about booking elsewhere. The transportation was a sketchy van but a lot of people took this form of transportation. Ours didn't include lunch but I do remember lunch coming out to over $100. Sidenote: The restaurant was outdoors and seagulls ate my son's lunch. No one in the restaurant even offered to replace his meal. They just said it happened often and walked away.

We also just book a cruise and I was wondering the same thing about Nassau. Are the only excursions Atlantis? It is so pricey. What is NCL?

Re: Cruise & Cruise Excursions
In Nassau we usually goto The Blue Lagoon
They usually run a boat from the cruise port over to their island.

NCL is Norwegian Cruise Line
The Blue Lagoon area looks beautiful, I was possibly sold until I saw their dolphin situation. We aren't a fan of the dolphin/sea life for entertainment things.

Yeah, I know. I wish they didn't do that either. We just do the 'beach day' portion there.
