Anyone familiar with the Integrated Classes at Starting Early DDI?
Hi, my son is currently in the 10:1:2 class and we have our CPSE coming up soon. I think we would really like to get him into an integrated class. I was planning on visiting some of the classes to see how they are and also wanted to see if anyone had feedback. He is on the spectrum and will be 4 soon. He gets OT, PT and Speech. He is verbal but I think is lacking conversation skills still and def. has problems focusing and staying on track. I feel being in an integrated class will help push him further along with some stronger peers. - Does DDI do more than 4 hours for integrated. I recall when we first started, the team lead mentioned the program can offer an additional 2 hours for kids that need that extra help. But I have not had any luck with anyone giving me more info on this. - Does anyone know if it is possible to get him into an integrated class earlier if it seems like a good fit? - Any good recommendations on where to take him after DDI? My husband and I are both full time working and he goes to daycare after (2-6PM).... but we feel maybe he needs to be in something more structured. Our options seem pretty limited though.
Thanks.

For DDI they have 2 and half hour and 4 hour integrated. The 6 hour program are for kids that qualify for 2 hours of ABA time. They would be in the 4 hour classroom and 2 hours one on one time for ABA. If he is currently in a self contained class and not getting ABA then he probably does not qualify for the 2 hour additional ABA time.
