for those of you who do a single process in between, why do you do this?
i have been highlighting for years and never did this. i am wondering if i should be doing this to get some of my natural color back into my hair? i am way too blonde right now!
I don't do a single process in between, but I can tell you I was way too blonde too plus my hair was a breaking wreck from the bleach. So what she did was switch to a color highlight rather than a bleach. My old, too blonde, highlights still show through, so it's not too dark, but much more subtle and less brassy/harsh. She did a hi and a lo lite with color. Then when it was done processing, she took the foils out and just put the lowlight color all the way through my hair- didn't leave it on too long. She called that breaking the base. It toned down my base color and toned down the highlights. Now it's perfect. And healthier.
is this the girl you told me about in the private message? i went to book her and saw she is now at a salon and the prices were similar to my old place so i never followed thru but maybe ill give it a try
Yes she went to a salon- she is very good, but I didn't feel like paying those prices, so I went to someone else who is closer and works from home. She is the one who did this latest color.
can you send me her info :)
