Alarm System
I'm sure this has been asked a million times but who do you use for your alarm system? Was installation free and how much do you pay monthly?

They did an amazing installation, we have every entry point and window armed, a motion sensor, and two panels. I think we paid about $1000-1500 for everything, that was back in 2005.
We pay $65/quarterly for Central Service.

We use Slomin's. The alarm was already installed but they did a free upgrade for us. We pay something like $35/mo or something.

We had to pay for installation, but that was years ago. All exterior doors are armed, not windows. We have motion alarms on every level and key pads by the doors and bedside. We pay $119 quarterly.

They were great and I love their customer service. They are local - right in Nassau and when you call you call a 516 number, not a 1-800 number and they really give personalized service.
When it has gone off they call immediately. When I have a question like, how do I change my PIN CODE or how do I get it to stop beeping three times because it's making the dogs bark? They are so easy to contact for help.
I pay $34.99 a month and the install was free.

We have Slomins... I think entry doors were free plus a keypad but we also added some windows so that upped the cost a little bit for us... at first we paid around $90 every three months for monitoring, but it goes up a little every year so now we are at over $100 I believe... keep in mind they make you sign a 5 year contract so if that is not something you want to commit to, I'd look elsewhere.

Have You called Front Point Security.
Quite good reviews about them online. And they are #1 on costumer magazine for top 5 security systems.
