Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
I'm getting anxiety about knowing what to register for in terms of there being so many brands and options, but at the end of the day, the main things you need to "research" and really consider the features for are:
-Car seat/car seat stroller wheel adapter thing -High Chair -Stroller(s). Do you get jogger and another, etc.
Right? Anything else that really requires careful research when considering models and brands? We have furniture covered.
TIA!

I did a decent amount of research on diaper pails because you have to weight out smell vs. cost. (refills are cheaper on some but not necessarily as good for smells)

Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
Im a nut and over research everything. But I think the big things were:
Stroller(s) Car seat (infant and convertible) Baby Monitor Pack n Play
ETA: we have two convertible strollers (bassinet, car seat, and toddler seat options), a jogger, and umbrella.

Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
I did A LOT of research on mattresses, strollers, bottles, and carseats. Everything else I went mostly by recommendations or price points (using Baby Bargains).

Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
Car seat was a big one bc it's important that you choose one that will not only fit your newborn (some claim they do, but they actually don't) but also your vehicle. You also need to know if you are going to go with an infant carrier or straight to a convertible. If you opt for the infant carrier, it is a waste to register or purchase a convertible seat until you need it.
Stroller was also important.
Everything else I went off recommendations from BTDT parents who I trust.

Other than what you already listed, I just really researched high chairs and mattresses.

Absolute Yes to Baby Bargains book, as long as you realize they are not the end all in baby stuff and take into account your own research and preferences.
But that book gets a lot right. I love my furniture, but that book was right about Lusso not having the best customer service, as were still waiting on one piece, and we ordered it in October.
My mom decided she wants her own bouncer so I was reading her the section on bouncers today. Helped her a lot.

Stroller we did a lot of research. High chair. Furniture. Swing. Expensive doesn't always mean good. Also read a lot of amazon.com reviews to see what 'real' people had to say.

I found that book to be an invaluable resource. I still did a good amount of my own research, but I used that book A LOT!!
I mostly researched cribs, mattresses, high chairs, pack n play, strollers (although this was mostly a word of mouth recommendation) and car seats.

Re: Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
I did a mix of Baby Bargains book and Amazon reviews.
Like others have said: -car seat -stroller -pack and play -baby monitor -mattress -breast pump
Whether or not you follow their recommendations, I just find the resources to be informative on what to look for regarding personal preferences.

Re: Registry Question - Which are top/main items to research?
I picked the brains of a few of my mommy friends on some items but other than that, I did research on car seats, strollers, bottles and the pack and play

Totally recommend Baby Bargains. In reality, much of what you buy won't really matter. It's preference. But the book gives you a general idea of where to splurge and where it doesn't matter. Also gives tons of ratings.
