Malibu Shore Club Cabanas
We are renting a cabana at Malibu for the first time this summer. I'm not familiar with Malibu at all- never been! I had some questions about the layout of club, cabana location, and general rules of the club. If anyone belongs or is familiar with Malibu, please PM me!! TIA!

Re: Malibu Shore Club Cabanas
I don't have any info for you, but I was just curious about how the cabanas work there. We go to Nickerson a lot, and several friends have cabanas there. I know they do a lottery system. It seems like if you enter the lottery at Nickerson, you are pretty much guaranteed a cabana.
Is it the same at Malibu? I've heard their cabanas are a little nicer, but I'm wondering if it's harder to get one there.

There is about very long waiting list for Malibu- about 15 yrs! Once you get a cabana, you can have it for up to 3 yrs. Nickerson cabanas are a lot easier to come by. They are currently accepting lottery entries for Nickerson. I can't really speak to the differences between the cabanas, but Malibu definitely has a lot more amenities. I've heard the cabanas are a little nicer too.

Thank you! That's what I thought. Enjoy your cabana.

Why did you sign up for something and not know anything about it?

I knew enough to know it was a great opportunity and something we wanted to try for the summer. I'm assuming you don't have any input to offer.

Nope ... just a knee jerk reaction ...you originally posted that you knew nothing about it at all ...did not tour the place ...etc. I would familiarize(educate/ take a tour) myself on something I'm putting a nice chunk of change down on that is all ... I'm sorry if you were offended.
