so annoyed!

i NEED new clothes. all i wear are black leggings, long black tank and a zip up hoodie or some stupid plain #basicb!tch top.

bf and i went out shopping to buy me clothes twice now.. and both times i get too lazy to try stuff on! we end up at sur la table and buy paella pans that just sit in the bags in my dining room for weeks.



maybe im just too picky? or the things i do like are 300$+ and i cant bring myself to spend that much on a single item anymore.

i have expensive taste too, but i dont give in because i cant lol.

do yourself a favor..

one day, by yourself, go to one of the bigger/nicer marshalls.

take your time. visit the dressing room more than once. dont have any plans that will cut your shopping short because thats when i get lazy/rushed and dont try on.

expect to try on 50 things and only by 5. but it's a start lol! lie, i usually walk away with way more than that.

i cant do marshalls. it gives me anxiety. i keep telling him to give me his cc and he can stay home..but he works in fashion so i value his opinion and he know waaaaaaaaaaay more than i ever will about fabrics, brands, etc. im fkd

Do you online shop? Maybe trying clothes on at home is better for you than in store? or try stitch fix, tog & porter?

ive seen what stitch fix sends out and im not impressed.

when i buy stuff online, ill open the package at work and it ends up under my desk for months. my assistant found a dress that fell behind my computer tower. my response "oops"

i keep telling myself once the weather gets better, ill find tons of stuff... we shall see..

This is why I shop mainly online.
I have ZERO patience for stores, crowds, lines, going through racks, trying stuff on.
Plus like you said, I plan to go on lunch hour then get SOOOO lazy to get off my @ss and go to a store.

Most of the times it works out great. Occasionally I will get a bomb that looks like shitt on. If something doesn't fit right, I just send it back. It stinks that you have to pay to ship back, but lately I have been able to buy online and return in a store if there is one locally so that helps.

I also can't do Marshall's. It gives me anxiety too. I can't pick through racks of shitt to find one item that MAY fit me and MAY be a great deal.
I'd rather blow money on something full price. Time is money.

I got some good sales at Macy's a few weeks ago. Lord and Taylor always has good coupons.

I have a friend who swears by Nordstrom Rack and Saks off 5th. I get a little overwhelmed by them but you can definitely find good stuff. The Bloomingdale's outlet on Old Country Road is pretty good, too.

I also buy stuff all the time and it sits in bags because I forget about it.

ETA: I never try anything on. If it doesn't fit I either return it or belt it.

No, it's not just you!

I get too lazy to try stuff on, I feel like crap when I see how I look, and everything is kind of made cheaply these days.

I found a nice top I liked and bought a few in a different colour. But other than that, nada. The styles are all so big (at least they are here) nowadays.

I just did a huge online shop on Gap, ASOS, and Zalando (with the exchange rate so bad ATM it's cheaper in Europe!). I kind of like online shopping because I have my own closet to see what goes with what.

I have a new job starting and I need more clothes for it. I'm hoping I'll like everything.

i stopped by the loft friday on my way to grand central terminal and saw jeans on a rack in the exact wash i was looking for. i wrapped them around my neck because i was too lazy to try them on.. went to the register and they rang up $4.88!!! i tried them on the next day. they are a tad long but seriously, 4.88!
