middle country, comsewogue, longwood, any feedback?
im just so over this house hunting process. we stumbled upon a couple houses in these school districts that fit our criteria.
we just know NOTHING about them. we are coming from pat med and want at least a step up in terms of schools...dont want to go down.
can anyone with personal experience message me and let me know the good/bad.

I grew up in comsewogue , but I'm old so that doesn't really count. My cousin lives in middle country, her daughter got into a very exclusive art college and my cousin as always been happy with the district. I live in Longwood now. My children are out of school and did not attend longwood, however my neighbors ( many of whom are teachers in other districts or even college professors) seem happy. The kids here have great school pride, the district offers a lot of services. Check out greatschools.org, you'll see reviews from kids and parents that are currently attending the districts you're considering. Good luck!

Re: middle country, comsewogue, longwood, any feedback?
I live in Comsewogue currently and the development I live in is very family oriented and friendly.
As for the SD, my DD will be starting Pre-K there next year (Norwood Elem). The district currently follows the Princeton plan. From what my neighbor explained to me, there are four elementary schools. Two are used for K-2 and the other two are used for 3-5 and then they all enter the middle school and then high school.
The Superintendent is currently making the news as he is against Common Core, along with the District's Board of Education.
I've lived in the area for 10 years and have been very happy. It does have its ups and downs (more concerning the development/construction rather than anything else), but more ups. During the warmer weather, the kids are in the yards playing, running around and there are neighborhood block parties a lot.

Ihave friends in all those districts. I Worked in comsewogue for a bit. My pick would be Comsewogue. We ended up buying in longwood though for the affordability factor and what we got for our money. Longwood is generally okay too, it's abig district so you get all the sports and special programs etc, which is good. But it sometimes has a bad name. Our elementary is good though.
