Body Moisturizer Recommendations Needed

I've been using Queen Helene Cocoa Butter, but now it doesn't seem to be working. My skin is very dry and due to my line of work my hands are constantly being washed.

Would you recommend your body moisturizer?

In the craft stores such as acmoore by the register they have these green tubs that say "working hands" or something like that a little bit goes a long way. Artists and construction workers use it to prevent cracking for all the harsh chemicals and what not. And you can use a coupon!

I get really bad winter skin where my hands are actually flaking and peeling from the dryness.

The best thing I have found is applying a thick lotion and sleeping with gloves on. It makes a huge difference! I've used burts bees products in the past but you could do the same technique with any cream.

Also, I found the antibacterial gel with aloe to be less drying and applying lotion right after hand washing helps - not sure if these are options in your workplace.

I asked the nicu nurse what they use bc my hands were peeling and so painful from all the hand washing and she said thick lotions like aquafor with gloves overnight. When I was super itchy during my pregnancy I did refined coconut oil allover before getting out of the shower and then aquafor on the worst spots.it really helped the itching.

In January, I started using the in-shower Nivea moisturizer and I love it! It likely won't really help with your hands, but for the rest of your body, its amazing. It smells like baby powder and you use it in the shower -- wash as your regularly do, put moisturizer on body, I then usually let it soak in a little, wash my face, wash my hair, rinse off moisturizer. It leaves my skin super smooth and I LOVE not having to lotion up once I get out of the shower! You do have to be careful to not put it on the bottom of your feet, as you'd likely slip in the shower!

For your hands- CO Bigelow Chapped Hands Remedy. For body lotion, either Palmer's Tummy Butter or their massage cream for stretch marks. I was using CO Bigelow Mentha Body lotion in the beginning but I needed something more intense as time went on to deal with winter dry skin.

I've been slathering myself with the belly butter and oils from the Mambino line....its an organic skin care line for pregnancy and post-partum. The stuff is infused with sweet orange oil (along with some others) and smells like heaven.....not to mention its super moisturizing.

I've heard sweet almond oil is very good with dry skin

When I worked in health care and constantly washed my hands, I used a hand therapy by Crabtree and Evelyn. Right now I'm using Eucerin very intense therapy and it has been great.
