Starting Clomid tomorrow... any tips?
So I guess I've reached the point where I'm ready to go to the next level, after our two unsuccessful natural IUIs.
I talked to Dr Brenner today and he said I could come in tomorrow to get me started on Clomid. I called today, which is day 4 for me, so I hope I'm not too late!
What will they do tomorrow? Bloodwork and sono?
Should I take the Clomid at night? On a full stomach? Should I expect any weird reactions? I tend to get menstrual migraines a few days before my period, so I'm worried that the Clomid will trigger more migraines.
Nervous.

Starting Clomid tomorrow... any tips?
I only did clomid on days 3-7. I'm not sure what your RE will do tomorrow. Mine never had me come in the day I start clomid or the day before. I just go in around day 8 to start monitoring of my follicles.
I usually get a light headache the day I start it, and sometimes I'll even get a headache the first day that I'm not on it (day 8). And sometimes I feel a little nausea on that first day but it's not bad at all. I usually take it in the morning with food. I don't think it matters when you take it though.

Take it right before bed. You will sleep through a few side effects that way.
You can expect hot flashes and extreme mood swings.
I never had stomach upset from it so empty stomach or w food didn't matter to me
Best of luck!

Best of luck! This exactly! Don't be surprised if your lining is on the thin side either, this as well as ovarian cysts can be a side effect too. I was freaked out until they told me that it happens.

Re: Starting Clomid tomorrow... any tips?
with timed intercourse and clomid my dr does days 3-7; with clomid for IUI he does day 5-9. So you're probably not late..right on time.
i dont feel sick from it, but I do feel my ovaries twitching..like something is brewing in there.
im on the 50 mg dose and starting my 4th round tomorrow.

Definitely take it before bed Good luck this cycle. Don't be nervous. I had no symptoms at all on clomid except a little insomnia because I was so nervous to take it.

Starting Clomid tomorrow... any tips?
Thanks so much for the tips, ladies! You've made me a little less scared. The nurse told me that Clomid is the least invasive thing they do, but the thing with the most side effects. Interesting to look at it that way.
And I gotta say, the price really made this an easier pill to swallow (pun intended). I'll hardly be paying more for this than the unmedicated IUI - Clomid is CHEAP! Hey, you gotta find whatever silver linings you can... :)

Clomid IS cheap.
It did make me very evil.
Try to curb saying your evil thoughts.
