Years ago I met Donald Trump. One of my uncle's used to be one of Trump's bodyguards/chauffers.

I "know" a tenor who sings for the Met. I also "know" the lead of an Indie band (Secret Someones) who also was part of Ingrid Michaelson's backup band for a bit. She also wrote the updated Cheerio's Jingle.
I say "know" because we were friendly in HS but only keep in touch via FB now.
I don't know anyone really famous

Alot. Mostly artists. It was a tough gig because when the media, especially tabloids etc would say stuff I'd want to shout....THATS NOT TRUE lol

I forgot my other connection: in 1998 I was trying to learn how to design web pages and I decided to create a fan page for Martin Donovan (not someone people recognize by name, but usually by seeing him). I ran it obsessively for a few years on Geocities, then purchased a domain name. Apparently, he had been checking it out and when I bought the domain name, he contacted me! :) We've been in touch over the years, although I don't update the page like I used to, and maybe one day I'll finally be able to meet him.

Many years ago I met one of the Ramones through my brother & a group of us hung out a few times (he wasn't one of the original 4 members though). I also briefly met Pee Wee Ellis a few times - also through my brother. They live in the same town in England & have worked together a few times. Both were a long time ago & neither would remember me. lol
Also, I haven't met him, but I'm apparently related to the kid that plays Barry on The Goldbergs. His mom & my mom are cousins. She moved to FL a loooong time ago, so I don't even remember her. I only mention it because I think he's hysterical

My sister works in the entertainment industry and I have met a bunch of people. Met JLo a bunch of times. Really nice and drop dead gorgeous. Her skin is incredible. Met Bradley Cooper and he is completely charming and really cute and really sweet. Listens when you talk, asks questions. Super super charming.
Had met Mel Gibson many years back. At the time, very nice but smoked a ton and drank a ton of coffee.

A good friend of mine is related to Dan Fogelman - not really famous, but he wrote the screenplays for Tangled, Cars and Crazy Stupid Love. He is also the director for the current movie Danny Collins. My friend is going to his wedding in California in June - I can only imagine what a great wedding it will be!

I have met a bunch of celebrities, none that I am friends with though. For a few months I was an assistant to a (now deceased) star.
The only time I really was star struck was when I met Luke Perry.  I have met much more "famous" celebs but my teenage self came right back out when I met Dylan.

I live between a celebrities parents (i have met him and his celebrity wife many times and text/call with his wife from time to time) and a famous mobsters niece

I've been to his talk show (twice ) when he had one in NYC and I'm so bummed that they all of a sudden cancelled Honeymoon in Vegas on broadway, I had tickets for this weekend! I have yet to meet him, but really hope to one day!

Wel, my cousin is one of the humans on Sesame Street and I briefly worked for Donald Trump.
I also used to work at a hotel in the Hamptons - i've met Rod Stewart's band - who were the coolest guys ever...they locked themselves out every hour! LOL
And Armande Assante - awesome guy - used to bring us coffee/treats at the front desk and hang out and talk with us!
Also hosted Tom Petty - didn't get to meet him bc he was super quirky and would only come in / out when it was dark - and even then went through the back entrance. He also had a 3 page needs list...and they TRASHED the room!!
I've met/worked with a few more working in the Hamptons - Steven Spielberg, Barbara Walters, Amy Carlson (Blue Bloods), Bill Hemmer (Fox News).....

I work in entertainment, as does my husband. I have met a ton of celebs and know personally a few, but I had to chime in here. JLo goes to my local coffee shop, I am not a huge fan of hers at all, but I have to agree with you, her skin is PERFECTION. You would never ever ever think she is in her 40's. EVER!

It's hysterical and juvenile at the same time that my father, 65 years old going on FIFTEEN, gets bitter and jealous over Tony effing Danza... To this day. My mom and him were what? Thirteen?? They grew up together as neighbors in Brooklyn, were very good friends, and were like "kid boyfriend/girlfriend" where all you do is kiss, KWIM?? And here my dad, who has been married to my mother for over 44 years GETS JEALOUS if he comes on TV or gets brought up by someone or if we are watching like the Today Show and he's being interviewed. I mean, GROW UP It is hysterical.
A few years back there was a fundraiser my mom was going to go to with her friend -- last minute they couldn't attend so they just sent a donation anyway but Tony Danza was slated to be there and I'm like wow will he remember you? She's like we were friends a few houses away from each other for over ten years, of course he will. I was like wow that's cool you get to see him again and catch up and when my dad got wind of it he was alllllll huffy. He's like he thinks he's so cool, Who's the Boss, blah blah LMAO!!!!! When she didn't go I'm like please tell me it's not because dad is a CHILD?? She's like NO! something with her friend came up and she didn't want to attend alone but it was just hysterical. One year Tony was hosting a 4th of July event in DC and it came on and my dad changed to another 4th of July special instead! Take your toys and go home why don't you!
ETA -- my mom refers to him as Anthony because back then that is what everyone called him, so that is what she knows him as. His last name was shortened when he became famous, it was initially something like Iadanza or something of that nature.
Omg that is hilarious!!!!
I don't really know any now, but my HS was in the city and small so I knew Donna Karan's daughter and Lizzie grubman. One of the daughters on Kate and Allie went there too (ari Meyers). Iman the models daughter went there so she'd be there once in a while.

Oh if there are any NY hardcore fans (not really celebrities though!) I used to hang out with the Bouncing Souls because my friend was dating the drummer and I'm still friendly with a member of the Gorilla Biscuits from college (not the tattoo artist Civ although I guess we are friendly when he tattoos me!  )

Marty Scorsese was my next door neighbor when i was growing up. I remember him coming to our house for dinner once. My dad would watch his house when he was away shooting movies and what not. Very nice man.

I went to the same dance studio as Jill Nicolini. She was older than me and was in every dance class. She was an amazing dancer and so beautiful. We were in the opening act together. So I knew her but we werent friends since she was older than me. But back then she was very sweet and always had a smile on her face.

My Dh's friend from college is married to Evan Farmer. He used to host While you were out. I think he hosts the CMT top ten or something. We had dinner with them and their son and walked the high line. It was weird. Some people were looking. He is a familiar face but, not someone you would instantly know who he was. Nice guy. Very interesting.
I went to college with Dave Annable. I had the hugest crush on him. He was on brothers and sisters. I got up the nerve to talk to him at a frat party or two. He was cool even then. He was on Plattsburgh TV and had the only shows worth watching. He was in the dorm across the path from me and I always saw/stalked him at lunch. He literally made me stutter. lol. ETA: a good friend of mine from HS (not close now but we still keep in touch on Facebook) isn't a celebrity per se but she has quite the acting career. She has been on Big Bang Theory and is a repeated guest on Mom. Among other shows.
